Camera arrived quickly and found the rear camera was not recognised by the front camera. I contacted support and sent away the rear camera for inspection. The same day the camera arrived back with the company, they confirmed it was faulty and sent out a new one. I couldn't ask for better customer service. After a frustrating experience with a DoA product. Highly recommended for excellent customer service.

Just purchased - initial tests show good quality video feed. It is a good value for money product, and I combined this with the HK-4 kit to ensure parking mode which looks pretty solid, although I did initially hook it up wrongly.

A multimeter to test the fuse points and some patience to take out the trim and send the cable to the rear - and all is good.

The rear cable was just sufficient for my Golf but I am sure there are other better techniques to send the cable to the rear.

Need to test different settings for parking mode recording now and see how it goes.

We bought two A229Pro's with hardwire kits (Aug 2025). Packaging is top class. The image quality is good. DashCamsRUs proved a good supplier. The Viofo app is buggy and tedious having to connect to it by wifi. The on-device keys are not always intuitive and small so fiddly to use. The user manual is basic and much is left to the imagination and trial and error. Overall it seems a premium product at a less than premium price point. Reliability in summer heat will be a real litmus test of its quality - still months away. Testing parking mode and all the functions? Well beyond this initial review.

Very happy with this camera. Amazing picture quality and the unit is still quite discrete.
Only downside is the lack of compatibility with SSD drives despite it being a major advertising point for VIOFO. I have since worked out that if the camera is mounted to the gps unit (thus having power) it won’t connect to an external drive via usb c.

A fantastic unit, the quality is much better than I expected. The 4 function buttons and inbuild viewing screen are great and make it easy to use whilst driving. I previously had a BlackVue unit but found the app to be cumbersome, and it couldn't be used whilst driving (at least I couldn't figure out how); whilst the 70mai app isn't as fully featured, it gets the job done, however personally I find it easier to simply remove the SD card and process the recordings on my laptop. The files are conveniently organised into front, rear and emergency folders, and in chronological order to make finding the one you're after all that easier. The image quality front and rear are superb, but although I thought I had turned off GPS speed and location data I found this to nonetheless be embedded on the recorded footage, so will have to look into that as I'd prefer not to have it. As requested, there is no audio in the recording as I had turned the option off, so know at least that function works. Installation and setup were super easy, the included trim removal tool was handy to have, although I chose to adhere the mounts directly onto the windscreen rather than use the electrostatic labels provided (so can't comment on those). Overall, I am incredibly happy with the unit and now think it laughable that anyone would consider paying up to 4 times as much for a "brand name" item.

U always liked and bought 70mai dash cams. This one removes a need for an SD card with its built in emmc storage. They offered a very good price and shipped it very quickly, it probably would have arrived quicker if Australia Post have been sent it to South Australia before returning to Victoria for eventual delivery. This is not the fault of DashCams R Us.

Was in a rush to get a cam going in a new vehicle before an interstate trip, Dash Cams R Us were amazing, they went out of their way at the very last minute (Friday closing) to help me out! The unit itself is great, I was able to roughly set mine up in a hurry and have it functioning perfectly. Great quality crystal clear footage, voice commands, live view, local wifi with phone.. Will be even better when hardwired in and installed neatly.

Very impressed with the fast shipping and good price. So far the Viofo A129 Plus Duo is doing a great job. The App works well and is pretty straightforward. The cameras are small and not easy to spot on both my front and rear windows, which is what I wanted. I had them professionally installed, which cost me $450, but worth the cost for the day when I absolutely need the footage! No more dealing with liars and hit and runs ;)
