Camera arrived quickly and found the rear camera was not recognised by the front camera. I contacted support and sent away the rear camera for inspection. The same day the camera arrived back with the company, they confirmed it was faulty and sent out a new one. I couldn't ask for better customer service. After a frustrating experience with a DoA product. Highly recommended for excellent customer service.

Just purchased - initial tests show good quality video feed. It is a good value for money product, and I combined this with the HK-4 kit to ensure parking mode which looks pretty solid, although I did initially hook it up wrongly.

A multimeter to test the fuse points and some patience to take out the trim and send the cable to the rear - and all is good.

The rear cable was just sufficient for my Golf but I am sure there are other better techniques to send the cable to the rear.

Need to test different settings for parking mode recording now and see how it goes.

We bought two A229Pro's with hardwire kits (Aug 2025). Packaging is top class. The image quality is good. DashCamsRUs proved a good supplier. The Viofo app is buggy and tedious having to connect to it by wifi. The on-device keys are not always intuitive and small so fiddly to use. The user manual is basic and much is left to the imagination and trial and error. Overall it seems a premium product at a less than premium price point. Reliability in summer heat will be a real litmus test of its quality - still months away. Testing parking mode and all the functions? Well beyond this initial review.

Very happy with this camera. Amazing picture quality and the unit is still quite discrete.
Only downside is the lack of compatibility with SSD drives despite it being a major advertising point for VIOFO. I have since worked out that if the camera is mounted to the gps unit (thus having power) it won’t connect to an external drive via usb c.
