We bought two A229Pro's with hardwire kits (Aug 2025). Packaging is top class. The image quality is good. DashCamsRUs proved a good supplier. The Viofo app is buggy and tedious having to connect to it by wifi. The on-device keys are not always intuitive and small so fiddly to use. The user manual is basic and much is left to the imagination and trial and error. Overall it seems a premium product at a less than premium price point. Reliability in summer heat will be a real litmus test of its quality - still months away. Testing parking mode and all the functions? Well beyond this initial review.

Arrived on time. Easy to install. I got the hardwire kit as well to get parking mode and works great.

Easy to use and does what is advertised. Setup and forget

Initial opening was amazing. Packaging was on par with Apple products. The instructions are clear and concise. Installation was easy. Then the camera gives great results. Footage is good quality from both front and rear. The only issue so far is it has overheated whilst in park mode. But was an easy fix. Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I am unable to use/install the dashcam because stock level was miscalculated on Installation cable kit and i had to wait for the cable to arrive. Still waiting
