INSTALLATION METHOD
Product Description
The DDPAI 'AI Base' precision Parking Mode Radar is an additional accessory that uses millimeter-wave radar that monitors your vehicles surrounds. Upon detection, the camera automatically records, saving 10 seconds of video. Detection range is 3M forward and 4M rear with 100 degrees of view, with AI on Guard, marking humans for easier footage retreeival later.
By utilising Radar Technology it can reduce power consumption by 87% (compared to time-lapse record) which can offer up to 15-day recordings. [Test results from DDPAI Lab]
Installation Notes
- Please install the radar in an area with minimal interference from rearview mirrors, headrests, and window tints to ensure optimal performance
- Pedestrians, sedan-sized or larger vehicles passing by can be detected.
- Not all objects are guaranteed to be detectable.
- Please install the radar module as far from the metal parts associated with the rearview mirror or ADAS sensors as possible.
- Metal near the radar can impair motion detection.
- Use the genuine OBD hardwire kit for the radar; other OBD hardwire kits may cause false alarms.
- The radar detects if someone is in the vehicle when turned off and won’t activate parking monitoring.
- When detecting an object, the radar flashes red and starts recording; view event videos in the app’s AI Recognition Album upon vehicle start-up.

- Once our warehouse has received your order they will post your camera to you along with any other products in your order.
- Once the camera is on it's way to you, our third party professional installers will be notified. They will contact you to arrange installation at a location that suits you.
If you are not contacted by the time you receive your camera, please contact us and we will get this organised for you.
Important Things to Note
- This service is only available to customers of Dash Cams R Us. Proof of purchase of the camera to be installed may be required for the booking process.
